Well, Isaac won't
take care of his blog so I'll do it (Dad).

It's been a good winter of running so far. Isaac kicked of the indoor season with some great challenges. One was he and his coach decided that "running up" would be a good way to crank up the training. "Running up" is when you go to the next age group. This is good for Isaac due to the higher level of competition. He's done quite well and is making a name for himself in the longer middle distances. His mom an I are very proud. In fact if you're ever at the U of A track and you hear an intense scream, it's probably Mom.

Here are a couple race results from the past few weeks.

Golden Bears Invitational
4th in the Youth 1500m @ 4:27.56
1st in the Youth 3000m @ 9:52.52 (2nd behind a Junior)

U of S Sled Dog Games
2nd in the Youth 600m @ 1:30.12

Don't forget, Isaac should run as a midget.

His next race is the Alberta Indoor Games. This should be a tough one, even though he's running with his own age class. Isaac has been real sick for the past week and is just getting back into the swing of things. We'll have to see what happens this weekend. I have confidence that he'll do very well. it's only a 1200m and that kid can push his body to the very limits. Good luck Buddy!
